Freedom from Drugs & Alcohol / Libertad de Drogas y Alcohol

How Faith Supports Recovery / Cómo la Fe Apoya la Recuperación

We believe YHWH meets people with mercy and calls them toward life. Through Yeshua, we pray for spiritual freedom, renewed hope and strength to take the next faithful step. We do not promise instant cure or tell someone that relapse proves a demon returned. Recovery deserves patience, practical support and continued care.

01 · Drug Addiction: Hope and Help / Adicción a las Drogas: Esperanza y Ayuda

Addiction can affect health, relationships, work and daily choices. It is a treatable condition, not proof of spiritual possession. We offer prayer and pastoral encouragement while supporting professional treatment. Faith can help a person recover purpose, ask honestly for help and remain connected to people who support recovery. A clinician can advise on the appropriate treatment for the substance involved.

02 · Alcoholism: A Safe Beginning / Alcoholismo: Un Comienzo Seguro

Alcohol use disorder can be treated with behavioral care, medication when appropriate and support groups. For someone who drinks heavily or is physically dependent, suddenly stopping can cause dangerous withdrawal; seek medical help to plan a safe recovery. Prayer and medical support can accompany each other. Needing treatment does not mean that your faith failed.

03 · Teshuvah and a Changed Daily Walk / Teshuvá y un Caminar Nuevo

Teshuvah means turning back toward YHWH. In recovery this may include telling the truth, making appropriate amends, changing harmful routines and accepting accountability. It is not self-hatred. Consider one concrete step: contact a treatment provider, ask a trusted person for support or arrange a pastoral conversation. Do not use spiritual language to hide the consequences of harmful choices.

Teshuvá significa volver a YHWH.

Many believers experience God’s care through prayer, friendship, skilled treatment and steady encouragement. Support should include truthful boundaries, not shame or enabling harmful conduct. Loved ones may also need guidance and support. If there is a setback, seek help promptly and review the recovery plan instead of withdrawing into secrecy.
