Walking in Covenant / Caminar en Pacto

Freedom Needs a Faithful Walk

Deliverance prayer is part of a continuing relationship with YHWH. Walking in covenant means bringing worship, speech, relationships and daily decisions under His instruction. In our Torah-rooted, Yeshua-centered teaching, love and obedience belong together.

The scroll and lamplight pictured above symbolize instruction that guides our steps. The goal is a transformed life: truthfulness, mercy, responsibility and love of our neighbor.

What Is Covenant?

Scripture describes covenant as a relationship established by YHWH, with promises and a call to faithfulness. Deuteronomy 6:4–9 joins wholehearted love with teaching His words in everyday life. Jeremiah 31:31–34 speaks of His instruction written on the heart. We read these passages alongside Yeshua’s teaching about love and obedience in John 14:15.

Covenant is not a technique for controlling spiritual power. We seek YHWH Himself, receiving correction with humility and responding through the choices we make.

Six Practices of a Covenant Life

1. Teshuvah: Acknowledge wrongdoing, turn from it and repair harm where possible.

2. Scripture: Study Torah and the teachings of Yeshua in context. Ask how the passage shapes conduct.

3. Prayer: Bring gratitude, confession and need to YHWH; seek the guidance of the Ruach HaKodesh.

4. Mercy and justice: Be honest, protect the vulnerable and treat neighbors with dignity.

5. Wise boundaries: Leave destructive practices and seek appropriate support for change.

6. Community: Learn, worship and remain accountable within a congregation that respects consent and personal safety.

What Happens After Prayer?

Make a simple plan. Choose a daily time for Scripture and prayer, identify one harmful habit to address, and ask a trustworthy person for support. If a struggle returns, seek help early. Growth can be gradual; it does not depend on dramatic experiences.

Illness, grief or hardship does not prove that someone has broken covenant or lacks faith. Pastoral care can accompany medical treatment, counseling and recovery support.

A Question for This Week

Where does my public confession of faith need to become a private act of obedience? Choose one practical response and review it prayerfully at the end of the week.
